During ArtPrize 2018, which came to a close earlier this month, our GrandPR staff had the opportunity to implement tactics for one of our clients, Sartori Cheese. Grand Rapids-based food and beverage companies, The GFB: The Gluten Free Bar and Ferris Coffee & Nut Co., have partnered to enrich the local community by introducing a new, limited-edition flavor of The GFB Bites: Coffee Almond Crunch. A portion of proceeds from the special offer will be donated to Artists Creating Together (ACT), a local non-profit who empowers individuals with disabilities to learn, grow, and celebrate through the arts.
The principle behind the Coffee Almond Crunch Bites is to emphasize the opportunity for flavor to shine in all forms during a time when the entire community is celebrating art. GFB and Ferris are utilizing their new take on Bites as an artistic platform to support the community and bring awareness to local art.
The Coffee Almond Crunch Bites are a protein-packed snack with a blend of sustainably sourced coffee, Michigan maple syrup and toasted almonds. GFB and Ferris worked alongside two Grand Rapids area artists who volunteered their talents towards this project; the packaging illustration was thoughtfully designed and hand drawn by artist Josh Kulchar and the new coffee-flavored recipe was inspired by celebrity chef, Jenna Arcidiacono, owner of Amore Trattoria Italiana in Grand Rapids. and Food Network star.
The limited-edition Bites are available for purchase while supplies last at Ferris Coffee & Nut locations, other Grand Rapids area stores including Kingma’s and Harvest Health, and online at www.thegfb.com.
